Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most people become eligible for Medicare at age 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period begins 3 months before your 65th birthday month and ends 3 months after. If you're receiving Social Security benefits, you may be automatically enrolled.

  • It depends on your employer's size and your situation. If your employer has 20 or more employees, your group plan is typically primary and you may delay Medicare without penalty. Smaller employers may require you to enroll in Medicare. We can help you figure out the right timing.

  • Medicare Advantage replaces Original Medicare entirely — it bundles your benefits through a private insurer and often has networks. Medigap supplements Original Medicare, helping pay your out-of-pocket costs while keeping full access to any Medicare-accepting doctor. Each has pros and cons depending on your health needs and budget.

  • Original Medicare (Parts A & B) generally does not cover prescription drugs. You'll need to add a Part D plan, or choose a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drug coverage. We can review your current medications and find a plan that covers them most affordably.

  • No. My services are completely free to you. As a licensed agent, I am compensated by the insurance carriers — your plan premium is the same whether you enroll through me or on your own. You receive personalized guidance at no additional cost.
